Homestay accommodation
Your accommodation for the two nights is either the cottage or bunkhouse at Gollans Valley in Eastbourne, Wellington.
The cottage is one of the original homesteads of the valley (circa approximately 1900). Due to a major fire in 2002, the cottage has undergone extensive renovations, providing a warm and inviting place to spend your weekend. (Prior to 2002. the cottage and bunkhouse served as the “shearers quarters” providing accommodation for the shearing gangs who would stay for up to two weeks shearing the properties 8,000 sheep).
The cottage has 2 bedrooms (sleeping 4 people), 1 bathroom/toilet, a large kitchen and living/dining area. The cottage provides the communal living area shared by all parties staying for the weekend.
The bunkhouse has 2 bedrooms (sleeping 5 people), 1 bathroom, toilet and a small area in which to make a cup of tea/nightcap, etc.
Pamper yourself! Forget the sleeping bags and luxuriate in quality linen and duvets. Towels also provided.
